WOW! What an awesome, touching and inspirational chronicle of your father’s life! Thank you so much for sharing this with me and for allowing me to be a part of it. It literally brought tears to my eyes. I wish I would have known all of this about Bob before he passed. What an amazing story. Thanks again and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate and value the support and friendship of the Rice family during my time here at Utah.
Thank you so much for sending this link. I know this will be a great thing for Jaxson to see on his mission. I am so grateful that all of my kids were able to see this. I especially appreciated some of their struggles that were included which truly helped mold them and attribute to their great successes. It is so important to show our kids how their Grandpa and Grandma Rice (who they revere so much) were able learn and grow from mistakes and hardship, that they had them, as they will all one day, and that they preserved and became better because of them. I appreciated that aspect more than anything. Look at what they accomplished as a couple as head of this family that is continuing to grow from their roots, because they learned from their hardship. That Joyce was willing to share that part of their story is so so powerful. We love you Joyce. This was so great to make and so well made. Thank you!!
That was great. It brought a lot of great memories back. What a great influence in our lives. Scott mentioned something in the movie that Bob had also told me. If you have great faith and your a kind loving person (husband, father, son, brother, friend). Everything else in your life will fall into place. I have never forgotten that.
My eyes aren’t dry tonight. I miss him and love him so very much. Your father was more of a father to me than my own. We spoke several times a week and I loved hearing the ..”helloooooo Gar”. We had so many personal chats and sharing moments. To me, he truly was MY best friend. We shared tears when he called to tell me of the cancer. I was at the Punahou location and went outside and lost it. He was so kind , gracious and comforting. I’ve had two dreams about him that have comforted me since he passed. He is smiling that famous huge smile in them. Thank you for sharing. He is very blessed to have you as his son and you are so blessed to have him as your dad

I love, who I always called, Mr. Rice. He was a great person who gave me opportunities to grow in the business world. I loved creating systems and handling the books for his myriad of companies. But mostly, I liked learning from him. He was a great boss.
It’s funny, that he is also my cousin. But our difference in age, made him seem more like an uncle. He just made the most our of everyone he met. Raised people up to be their best.
I miss him greatly. I think of him often. And I bet him and my dad are having a great time up there.

Awesome film of a man whose commitment to hard work and dedication to family is rewarded. I enjoyed and learned a lot from watching this film. Thanks, Brent for sharing!!
